It all started with a simple observation, babies like to be bare footed. Developmentally babies feet should be barefoot as much as possible so it can grow naturally into its shape.   Common sense shows babies can not possibly always be barefooted due to hazardous hidden dangers in grass, on sidewalks, at the playground even in your own homes carpet.  Thus, Bear Feet Shoes was born with a simple classic infant bootie.  :-)

Noah was lucky enough to receive such a pair from Bear Feet Shoes just in time!  He’s nine months and cruising all around.  He prefers to have you hold his little hands while he tries to master walking to crawling any day.  So I was thrilled to put this adorable pair of shoes to the test.   The leather is really soft, the shoe is super light which is so important at this stage of development.  The rubber soles bend effortlessly and keep him from slipping and sliding on the hardwood floors as he steadies his wobbly little legs.   The stitching on the inside is minimal so the shoe isn’t irritating, pinching or making his baby foot red.  We are thrilled to put them to great use!

Bear Feet are unique in that they mold to the shape of the foot instead of forcing the foot to conform. They are more flexible than most shoes, which is important because children are not heavy enough to fully flex most other soles. There are various studies to suggest that walking bare foot is actually better for the growth of children’s feet and the only purpose of shoes should be to keep the feet warm and protected from cuts. Of course, we think shoes should be stylish too, so Bear Feet are offered in a wide variety of colors and styles.

I can’t express clearly how thrilled I am that Katherine Accettura creator of yummy homemade goodies contacted Baby Elan {daily}.    It has been a treat getting to know her and see her business taking off!    She is brilliant, dedicated, so extremely creative and wonderfully friendly and warm.   You will love her products and you’ll love her.

Katherine created Happy Solez Organics in 2008 in order to provide well-made products to families who believe in using organic and eco-friendly products. By performing each step of the process when creating goods (design, preparing, sewing, marketing, selling, shipping, and more),see, brilliant!  very little waste is produced, and a very small carbon footprint is emitted. :-)
Selling goods locally and globally, and interacting with customers, has been an important part of the process in assuring that we will receive the best, American-made product possible.  Many of the fabrics used in Happy Solez Organics include Bamboo, Organic Cotton, 100% Recycled Materials, and also Reclaimed Materials. By making a smaller impact on our Earth, generations to come will be happier to live in a greener world.  Katherine would love to spin off something custom for you too!

Little Noah was fortunate to receive a perfect pair of organic booties from Katherine.  I told her he was trying to walk so she made sure to include skid pads on the bottom of his little pair, custom!  :-)   Such beautiful little booties for cute little feet. These shoes feature an Organic, Sustainable Liner that is made from half Bamboo and half Organic Cotton.  You all know how much I love bamboo!  And how smart to use it in the liner where your child’s feet will sweat.  Bamboo is super absorbent!  CLEVER  The exterior is constructed from Hand Printed Bali Batik Cotton.The colors are extremely beautiful on these and they are great for boys or girls.There is soft, cotton elastic around the openings so the booties stay put when baby kicks.  Noah has not kicked his off yet.  I’ve washed them twice and dried them.. by mistake actually but both times they came out perfectly fine.   We love them, they are so easy to put on and soft on his feet.  I get compliments often about these fantastic organic booties.

Nicholas was lucky enough to receive this adorable and super soft tee from the Happy Solez  Organics collection :-)   He wears it to pre-school regularly, I’ve washed it a ton in a normal cycle, even dried it too a few times.  The shape, color and fabric, stitching has worn perfectly.  I’m very happy when I see him wearing  his tee, he’s comfortable because the shirt fits him well.

Happy Solez Organics is about a lot more than booties as you are seeing.  Katherine is just getting started!  In a few short months she has added several new products to her homemade collection.  These adorable bags are an example!  I don’t know a little girl out there who would not cherish her own little bag made with some wonderful fabric.

Who is getting spring fever?  I am, I don’t usually either but Charlotte has had an odd winter, long and cold so I’m ready for sunny days full of sunshine and playing outside.   Katherine has been a busy bee sewing and designing all sorts of exciting products for Happy Solez Organics Spring Vintage Collection!    I get a rush of inspiration just looking at the fresh, clean bold prints she’s using for her spring line.   With new products like pouches, bags, Ipod bags and clothes, onsies, a lot of wonderful homemade items.   All very unique and gorgeous.

Cold feet. That’s right! I’m always thinking my little guys feet are cold.  He constantly pulls his socks off when we are in the house.  It’s been a cold winter, and I do try shoes when we go out, but he also constantly kicks them off.   Well, we put at end to that.
