Our editor Olivia had yet to venture into the world of diaper clutches…I gave her a big shove into that world just recently!  This may be the 20th + time I have mentioned this since BabyElan {daily} writing began…a diaper clutch is a must!  You will use a “diaper clutch” as just a plain out and about clutch without baby in just a couple short years, trust me!  I have a few clutches, they were once filled with diapers and wipes and pacis, now they are used for girls nights out filled with just my money, lipstick, and cell!   Olivia had the pleasure of receiving a matching, gorgeous diaper clutch and toy strap courteous of the today’s Canadian company, Pippalily.

Babykakesink

When I came across Babykakesink, I instantly fell in love with their adorable line of  infant and toddler items. So cute, personalized, original, and detailed, simply fantastic!  This awesome company was founded by Catherine Stephens, who is also the designer. She came up with the name because she calls both her baby girls “Baby Kakes”, thus that is how Babykakesink got its start. 

Let’s get stated with the amazing Babykakesink clothing line.  Original Tee’s, onesies, and sets that are so magnificent.  I received 2 adorable T-shirts for my little man from Babykakesink’s alphabet line.  They have his name and initial on them.  Love them!  He is pictured  in one of his “Charlie” t-shirts (above).  We get so many compliments on them, and its so nice that they are personalized, adds such a special touch!

Just when I thought I had tried them all, and I was accepting the fact that my little guy was just not into being a “sling” baby, Baby K’tan comes along with a fabulous carrier that Harrison actually loves!  My initial reaction to Baby K’tan was that it seemed like too much fabric & I wouldn’t know what to do with it all.  That said, I’ve had several weeks to play around with the sample that I received, and we’ve found SO many practical positions, so the extra fabric isn’t such a big deal after all!

What do “we” love about the Baby K’tan carrier?  We love that we can discreetly breastfeed in it!  It has come in handy on so many occasions when I’ve needed an extra “hand” to hold Harrison in place {read, 3 year old calls for help from the bathroom} while he is nursing & it has kept me all contained while doing so.  We are also big fans of the front, facing out carry.  Harrison is a rather “social” guy, and he loves being able to sit right up in front of me & see his world as I carry on about my day.

Although we don’t have twins, I hear that Baby K’tan is absolutely perfect for moms with double the fun!

All Baby K’tan carriers come with an extra piece of fabric, a sash, that can be used as extra support around the carrier.  If you don’t feel the need for the extra support, like me, it serves as a fabulous burp cloth or nursing cover when you’re in a pinch!

We’re going on vacation next week, and while I’ve stressed over strollers, booster seats & other gear that we need to bring along, one thing I haven’t thought twice about is what sling we’ll use!
