Juppy Baby Walker {Giveaway}

Monday, May 3rd, 2010

I have a 15 month old who is not walking. He is a big boy. Late crawler, he initially just choose to roll everywhere!  I have found something that has helped us greatly in getting him closer to those first steps.  The Juppy Walker is exactly what we needed.  It has really helped him, and also helped our backs!

I was excited when our Juppy Baby Walker sample arrived!  When we got it, my son was just about 13 months (see him in his juppy below).  I wish I had it sooner!  I love the fact that it is so light and portable. Just folds up easily into a small little pouch that it came in, perfect for just putting in your purse or diaper bag. Above is my little guy in his Juppy.  We love the fact that we don’t have to bend over in an awkward position to help him walk. Its nice to be able to just hold on to the straps and be upright. Much easier on our backs.  One size fits all, and easily washable.

My Little Roo

Friday, April 30th, 2010

I do enjoy a product that helps me save money, so does my husband.  I was thrilled to review the baby carrier cover from My Little Roo.   Instantly the cover makes my 3 plus year old Bjorn look like new.  What a hit!  Founder Kelsey Clark saw a need for some added comfort and fashion to the basic front baby carrier. Glad she did!

I can’t count how many times I’ve dropped my cell phone on walks with Noah because I try to stick it in the side of the carrier and it always slips out and smashes to the ground.  My Little Roo has a simple 6×6 front pocket design that is large enough to stow your blackberry, cell phone, ATM card and your car keys for that quick run into the store or Starbucks :-)   My Little Roo has “Gone Green” to help the environment by using recycled/vintage chenille on the chenille lined slipcovers.  We all know how wonderfully soft chenille.  I was really surprised at how simple it was to put the cover on my Bjorn, it  slips on and off easily to your existing front baby carrier. The slipcover is designed to slip on the front portion of the front baby carrier. Simply detach all the straps so you have only the front of the carrier in hand. Slip the front of the carrier into the slipcover through the overlay opening on the back chenille side. Pull it through so the carrier is laying flat in the slipcover. Designed like a pillow sham. Re-attach the straps and you’re ready to go.  It seriously was that easy.  I was walking out the door with Noah in his Bjorn within 10 minutes.

My Little Roo slipcovers are made in the USA, which we love! The slipcovers are machine washable and can be machine dried. A light iron may be used, if desired.  Don’t stress over your baby spitting up on the front of his carrier or teething babies love to just chew on the front of the carrier making a bit mess!  Slipcovers are not reversible. My Little Roo slipcovers fit all the Baby Bjorn® carriers including synergy, active, air, original star and original, Lascal ® M1 Carrier, Snugli® soft comfort vent, Infantino® euro rider, and Jeep® 2 in 1 front pack carrier.  So do not go spend the money on a new carrier because your is old or worn, just give it a “make over”.

Colette Kids {15% DISCOUNT}

Thursday, April 1st, 2010

Seldom do I get to wear clothes that match my boys, recently Nicholas and I have been having a blast showing off our matching tees!  It makes him feel so special when someone comments on our fun matching tee.  What a treat for us :-)   Nicholas received the adorable Momo Caterpillar tee featured below. He wears it with everything. Momo is quiet and shy, just like Nicholas (except for when he’s home).  She is always hungry and munches on leaves all day long, cute and fun right.  The tee is 100% Fine Jersey Cotton
 making it really soft and comfy.  Actually it is combed for softness and comfort so that makes sense. :-) The durable rib neckband makes it easy for Nicholas to dress himself.  Screen-printed individually by hand and can be worn with matching  matching hats!  You know we love that the collection is made in USA.  And guess what, ALSO available in adult sizes!  That is the super fun part of Collect Kids Collection.

Baby K’tan {DISCOUNT}

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

Just when I thought I had tried them all, and I was accepting the fact that my little guy was just not into being a “sling” baby, Baby K’tan comes along with a fabulous carrier that Harrison actually loves!  My initial reaction to Baby K’tan was that it seemed like too much fabric & I wouldn’t know what to do with it all.  That said, I’ve had several weeks to play around with the sample that I received, and we’ve found SO many practical positions, so the extra fabric isn’t such a big deal after all!

Available in a ton of great colors, including several organic color choices, made of 100% cotton {or 100% organic cotton}, the Baby K’tan carrier is as comfortable as it is cute!  A cross between a traditional pouch sling and a structured baby carrier, the Baby K’tan gives you a ton of carrying options {literally, choose from eight different ways to carry your baby}!

What do “we” love about the Baby K’tan carrier?  We love that we can discreetly breastfeed in it!  It has come in handy on so many occasions when I’ve needed an extra “hand” to hold Harrison in place {read, 3 year old calls for help from the bathroom} while he is nursing & it has kept me all contained while doing so.  We are also big fans of the front, facing out carry.  Harrison is a rather “social” guy, and he loves being able to sit right up in front of me & see his world as I carry on about my day.

Although we don’t have twins, I hear that Baby K’tan is absolutely perfect for moms with double the fun!

All Baby K’tan carriers come with an extra piece of fabric, a sash, that can be used as extra support around the carrier.  If you don’t feel the need for the extra support, like me, it serves as a fabulous burp cloth or nursing cover when you’re in a pinch!

We’re going on vacation next week, and while I’ve stressed over strollers, booster seats & other gear that we need to bring along, one thing I haven’t thought twice about is what sling we’ll use!

Baby K’tan is offering a 10% discount to BabyElan readers until April 1st.  Please enter ELANKTAN at checkout!

Tots On the Go

Monday, March 8th, 2010

Every parent should visit Tots On the Go before going on any type of trip or vacation.  Besides offering some of the newest nessesities and luxuries for families with children Tots On the Go also offers personal consultations to help every busy parent select the perfect travel accessory for their family!  I was sent two fabulous travel items for my family to use during our recent trip to Disneyland!  My kids and I loved both of them so much I purchased them so we would be able to use them on future vacations!

The picture above is of my youngest son Will who is 9 months old.  Tots On the Go sent him the Air Play {also pictured}to use on our vacation!  This is a great toy that slips over an airplane’s tray table very securely and is covered with toys on both sides.  There are peak-a-boo flaps with a mirror and another with a picture album where personal pictures of baby’s favorite people can be inserted!  There are also several Velcro toys and balls attached as well.  Will looks tired in the picture above but I promise you he had a fabulous time with his Air Play during our four hour flight.  I loved that everything was attached so I did not have to pick anything off the floor.

My two year old daughter fell in love with her Trunki as soon as she saw it.  While she had fun scooting on it around the house she LOVED being pulled on it through the airport!  Being a big girl of 2 {and almost 3} she thinks strollers are for babies but still gets tired of walking sometimes.  Her Trunki was a life saver for us.  Not only did it provide entertainment for her and an easy trip through the airport for us, it doubled as her carry on.  The Trunki fits perfectly under the seats on the plane and has room for all of the important items little gals and guys need to stay busy on long flights!

Tots On the Go is great for purchasing everything from Strollers and baby carriers to some of the great items I have outlined above.  Another great feature Tots On the Go offers is their rental program.  {Check their website to see if they offer rentals in your area please.} They will ship many items parents need to take care of baby and big kids to certain locations.  Mom and dad will  have the peace of mind that that each item will be clean, sanitized, safe and will arrive at your home or travel destination.  Choose individual items or go for one of their package deals!

Visit Tots On the Go to see all the products they have for families with an on the go lifestyle!  Happy Shopping!
