Oshi Mat {GIVEAWAY}

Not to brag for you folks in the North but it was 70 degrees here in Charlotte yesterday!  It was amazing to push the kids outside ALL DAY, we made bird seed feeders, climbed trees, took a walk, wore tee shirts; an amazing Sunday had by all!  Gloomy and chilly again today but the sun is still in my veins and I’m ready to plan out the Spring and Summer months for the kids!  Time to sign up for Spring sports, figure out which pool to attend this Summer, any camps, a trip to the beach before the new baby comes {or maybe after}, and lots and lots of early Spring active activities to get my family back into a healthier frame of mind!  The first week of March, BabyElan {daily} will be featuring baby and kid gear to get all families like mine out and about living active lifestyles in the gorgeous Spring weather, with the whole family in tow!  Today’s giveaway is a sneak peek at that week, a mat meant for those active mommy and me classes but with so many other amazing uses as well, perfect for keeping baby just as involved and active as the entire family!

The concept behind the most brilliant Oshi Mat from the minds that created it:

“First, I needed a material that could lay flat but still be flexible enough to store in a compact way. I needed an easy to clean material. I needed something with cushion so that my baby would be comfortable and safe. So naturally, a mat came to mind! But not one made out of any material… a non- toxic, 100% PVC/Latex FREE foam! The only material with these characteristics was one made of 100% Thermal Plastic Elastomer (TPE). Second, I needed a specific shape, one that would accommodate mother and child during activities. Oshi mat’s specific patented design allows for mothers to sit comfortably during interactions and for babies to lay spaciously and securely at the same time. Third, it had to be pretty… like all moms, I love beautiful things for my baby. Our amazing graphic designer takes time and effort to develop gorgeous art designs for our mats. And lastly, I needed a convenient way to carry this mat, so I added the easy to carry Oshi bag to the design!
So this is how Oshi mat was born…
Like most baby products…
Out of a loving mother’s pure necessity!”

{to go along with our Sweet Snow Owls montage for this week!!}

My first thoughts on using the Oshi Mat were my yoga mornings at home.  Why stick the baby in the play area or completely out of the room?  The other boys always like to get involved and watch yoga, baby should be able to too!  An easy mat to take to every single mommy and me play date or class or outing!  A safe place for baby to rest and watch mommy and siblings interact at the park, a secure and comfy place for baby to stretch and eat their toes at your local baby fitness classes {with a design made for mom to sit comfortably in front of baby at all times}, a clean place for baby to sit and listen to story time at the library or listen to the orchestra at places like Symphony in the Park {a fun event for the family here in Charlotte}.  SO many uses {more you can find here!}

When I showcased this mat recently at a local Green Trunk Show {and will showcase again at the upcoming All About Baby Event}, the best feature besides the eye catching designs and complete uniqueness of the concept:  the travel component.  Simply throw your Oshi Mat in the car and always have a spot for baby to sit or lay no matter where the day takes you!  It’s more interactive for baby than the stroller, more easy on mom than baby wearing, and gives baby the social interaction they crave so early on!  It’s almost time to say goodbye to the snow and dreariness, saying hello to sunshine, warmth, health, and all the activeness that goes along with it, ALL with baby in tow!
