As a rather targeted “baby blog”, I think it is safe to assume we have a bunch of breastfeeding and/or soon-to-be breastfeeding moms reading.  Here’s a product that makes me wish I was still breastfeeding exclusively, because now that we’re down to just early morning and bedtime nursing, I don’t have a need for any sort of “nursing wear“; a loose pajama tank does the trick since no one sees me nurse anymore…  I know, so boring.

But for those of you that are nursing day & night, you know how hard it is to find appropriate clothing, that keeps you covered, yet is comfortable and  convenient to use.  I wish I had the chance to review the Skinies Nursing Cami before our nursing sessions had tapered off!  Yes, I agree it looks rather silly, but this is one of those products that you have to actually put on your body, to really “get” just how GREAT it is!

Skinies is a flap & slit-less nursing tank, with big circular breast cut-outs & body-shaping capabilities, to be worn over or under your favorite nursing bra!  I know, I know, you still don’t get it…  Trust me, put this baby on, and you will feel so much more confident about going out in public with your baby, you’ll actually want to feed wherever you go!  Simply lift up your regular shirt, unsnap your nursing bra, and you’re good to go.  Your back & post-partum belly stay covered & you don’t get the feeling of clumsiness with a million layers to sort through, discreetly, while you have a hungry {and most likely, cranky} baby in your arms.

I have always disliked the regular nursing cami’s because they claim to have a built-in bra, but really, what nursing mom can sustain on a wireless, support-less cami alone?  So I was always wearing a nursing bra, plus a nursing tank, plus my regular shirts.  This created so much hassle that I finally resorted to wearing an old maternity tank over a nursing bra, which was loose enough that I could just yank it down from the top.
