Slowly but surely I’m turning my sons into shoe lovers like me!  If you can believe it, all 3 of them each have about 5 pairs of shoes they rotate wearing…5 pairs for a boy is pretty amazing…and they actually like them all!!  WOOOHOOO!  I’m thrilled!  Sneakers seem to be the hardest to find and the hardest to please them with.  My oldest is easy, walk into any shoe store and he’ll pick a Nike or Sketcher and be done.  My little middle child, not so easy…he’s picky about sneakers, he looks for comfort AND design AND he wants laces, he’s all into laces and tying them!  Not a bad thing of course but little ones sneakers now a days come less and less with laces and more and more with easy on easy off Velcro.  Time saver for sure, but before you know it you’ll have a 10 year old that can’t tie his shoes because he’s never had shoes with laces!  Needless to say, we found shoes that chance their design daily to fit any child’s personality {& picky-ness} PLUS they have laces!!

PLEASE be sure to get your child shoes with laces in pre-k, they need to learn this basic skill early on and modern shoes just don’t give them option.  My 8 year old still has a hard time with tying since he hasn’t had many shoes with laces over the years.  Anyway…little Connor isn’t going to have that problem because he LOVES his U*neaks!  {FYI…do not fret, U*neaks has Velcro shoes too; for those that have mastered shoe tying they can enjoy the freedom and quickness of Velcro!}  U*neaks are “unique” in that their look chances as frequently as your child chances his/her socks!!  Socks can be fun and super cheap!  They come in so many whimsical designs these days, I’m in awe as I sock shop!  BUT, most of you just buy white right…cause who ever sees the socks under the shoes!  Well…now, the sock MAKES the shoe!

Look…see the little “windows” on the sides of the shoes?  Those are clear actually, which allow for the colors and the patterns of the socks underneath to shine through and create a unique shoe, different from the previous day!  So clever, and for someone as picky as my 3 year old, he’s able to change his look to whatever he wants it {daily}!  Oh, and BTW,  the Window material is extra durable and environmentally friendly!

Let’s talk about the socks now!  Sure you can use any socks you have at home or any of the creative ones found in stores worldwide…but our favorites in the Blake household right now are none other than the Madagascar ones we received with our shoe sample from U*neaks!  What is with boys and Madagascar, my boys LOVE IT!  So needless to say our sample socks were a huge hit with Connor, we have to wash them over and over again so he can wear them and show them off through his U*neaks!  Not just Madagascar though, there’s pages of other socks to pick from, all with bright, vibrant designs and colors that make a perfect accent to an already perfect shoe!  Comfort…why yes, Connor lives in these shoes {pre-school, play, baseball, and more!}, U*neaks makes one fabulous sneaker!!
