If you have boys, let me introduce you to their manual, their bible per say!  I purchased this book months ago for a gift for my oldest {he just turned 8} as his “special book” at the holidays.  Since Christmas Day, my husband and Timmy have spent hours engrossed in the pages of The Dangerous Book For Boys…my small investment in this hard-covered book made for a fabulous bonding experience between father and son!

I was Maid of Honor at a wedding back in September and it’s when I first got a glimpse of this book.  The bride {my dear friend of close to 20 years} gave her 9 year old son this book as his ring bearer gift.  He spent the entire rehearsal dinner pouring through the pages with his soon-to-be step father. This book is sure to be a treasured keepsake in both our families now, a true “survival” guide for little boys as they grow into men.  Things for them to know and learn, things all little boys should experience; from the truth about girls, to making the perfect paper airplane {which was our first project on Christmas Day…my living room was a sea of flying paper airplanes…},to making a go kart or a tree fort, learning about some of the most important battles in our history, or how to administer first aid or showoff a coin trick. Over 260 pages of what boys love most…hands on, history, science, and more {the How To Play Poker section even helped Mom since I didn’t remember how to play and surely one of my sons will enjoy a card game or two as they grow}.  Beneficial for the entire family as the boy shares his learnings! I would have spent hundreds on this book just to be able to add it to our shelves and watch my husband and his oldest son fold pieces of papers for hours and see who’s flies the farthest…just that made it so worth it!

You’ll find this book everywhere, along with others of its kind such as the girl version, The Daring Book For Girls, but Amazon seems to have it at the best price around!  Fabulous Easter basket addition, the best ring bearer gift around, or perhaps an upcoming First Communion gift!
