Changing tables and I do not get along anymore.  For the past several months I’ve been changing my toddler on the floor…not an easy task to do and not to sterile for my carpets!  The story behind my anti-changing table persona:  I never used the straps that hold the babies down!  I know, slacker on my part, but I never took my eyes of my babies while changing them on the table either.  I was always right there and for 5-6 years worth of changing babies on the tables, all went well.  Until a few months back, I dropped the wipes case and bent down to pick it up.  In a matter of 2.5 seconds, Aidan had stood up and walked himself backwards off the table, falling upside down {head first} into the clothes hamper {luckily full of soft clothes to break his fall}.  I never again used the changing table and we took it down that night!  I was so upset with myself…but of course took it out on the table!  {I laugh about it now only because please imagine what I saw when I stood up, Aidan was not scared not crying, but 2 little legs were shooting straight up out of the hamper, I couldn’t see his upper body at all!}  A lesson to be learned of course, a humorous story to tell, and now a product to share to save your carpets from dirty bottoms {whether or not you have an evil changing table}.
