MamaLuxe Friday Guest Writer: Jodie from Butterscotch Blankees

It’s raining today but thankfully Jodie from Butterscotch Blankees is here with a fun activity {plus food all in one} for rainy cold days at home with the kids!  Welcome to another edition of MamaLuxe Friday and a new guest writer!  If you’ve never heard of Jodie’s shop, head on over and get “personal” with her!  And I must admit, I have never tried using cookie cutters with pizza dough, but of course it would be cool and entertaining, I should have thought of this!!

Enjoy!!

HOW TO SURVIVE A RAINY DAY SUNDAY WITH LOTS OF KIDS IN THE HOUSE!
Making your own ”Imagination Pizza”

You will need:
1 jar of Pizza sauce
1 Bag of shredded Mozzarella cheese (can use low fat as well)
1 Roll of Pillsbury pizza dough in refrigeration section at Supermarket
1 Large Box of Cookie Cutters
We have been busy for hours cutting out the dough and making animals, sports and other shapes.  Not only do the kids love using the cutters for the dough its great for their fine motor skills.  It is so exciting for my 3 year old to actually have his very own imagination pizza come alive in the oven. the older kids love it as well they fight for the extra dough to make another shape.
Follow the directions on the dough and the rest is up to you – you can make a smiley face with the cheese – you can make a clown face with veggies on the pizza.
The best part is that everyone is quiet watching their pizza grow and when its ready everyone checks out each others pizza for the best one.
This is an activity that everyone can enjoy – try them they are delicious!
