ScareMeNot {GIVEAWAY}

Right around age 3 {for us anyway} the “afraid of the dark” concept starts to creep in.  Our middle child is going through the woes of being along in his room or walking down the hallway after dark without his trusty Batman flashlight {which requires a change of batteries every other day because he sleeps with it on!}; so, needless to say, I’m tired of the “Monsters in the Closet” and needed some help with the transition.  Connor’s new BFF has saved the day, I mean Night, and erased our family’s fears of Monsters!

Say Hello to the ScareMeNots!  The concept is so simple, silly monsters take away the fear of scary monsters; replace nighttime dread with bedtime fun!  Our samples were Guardian Gus {whom we have renamed “Sully”…from Monsters Inc. of course, which now that I think about it may have been where his fear came from…ummmm…oh well, too late now, we still LOVE that classic movie…anyway…} and WatchDog Wally whom little Aidan simply calls “Tim” {my husband’s name, so everyone is called TIM now}.  Sully and Tim look plain old silly don’t they??  Not scary in the least bit, that’s the whole point!  They are cuddly creatures that protect, guard, and defend fearlessly through all hours of the day and night!  Warriors against bedbugs, ghosts, dust bunnies, and the dreaded thing under the bed!  If you, the parent, believe in Patty, Fred, Gus, and their friends, the child will believe!  And their special treats sure do help too…

For example, Protector Patty can check under the child’s bed for monsters for them!  How much better will your child feel knowing that Patty checked and scared away the mean old things under the bed without said child ever having to leave the comfort of his/her blankie?!  Basically, these clever characters are not just stuffed toys, they each possess a unique trick that allows them to warn off would be scary things in your child’s room whether that be by hanging from the closet door knob so no one gets out, or simply standing guard all night long!  Each ScareMeNot friend has a story to tell as well, read them all here but let me share with you Guardian Gus’s story as he has brought love and happiness to the Blake Household:

“Guardian Gus, with an extra eye in each hand, is ideal for spotting monsters around corners and under beds. He removes closet and hallway monsters by sliding one hand-eye under the door, while never leaving your little ones’ bedroom. His assignments have taken him worldwide in search of monsters like Swamp Thing and Bigfoot. He can detect any size monster, from the enormous Loch Ness monster to the greasy bite size Quagmire Quarter-Pounder, who’s aroma has lured many an unsuspecting youngster to it’s golden lair. However, Gus is most renowned for his detection of the Bathtub Belly Slimer due to his use of S.W.A.T. (Soapy Water Approach Technique). With one look at his lean, green body, children know this monster combatant means business. Here in a recent photo he asked monsters “Do you want a piece of this?” “

Our lives as parents have gotten that much easier, let the ScareMeNots do the dirty work; we’re all getting to old to be crawling around under beds and banging our hips into closet door knobs while chasing away bad monsters in the pitch black!  I am forever grateful for Gus/Sully and Wally/Tim!  Get your child a new BFF for the holidays; someone special for them to take with them as they travel, spending the nights at relative’s homes they are not familiar with, a new ScareMeNot friend could be a HUGE stress reliever for you Mom and Dad!  Think about the next doctor appointment, the next time Mom and Dad hire a babysitter and leave for the evening, when a new baby joins the family…whenever a little one needs his fears and worries cared for by a silly friend, ScareMeNots will be there!

We’re thrilled to offer one lucky reader their winner’s pick of a ScareMeNot friend for their little ones.  Head on over and tell us which character you would pick and why!  EXTRA ENTRY for creating a profile with ScareMeNot.com to make your shopping experience and time spent with the ScareMeNot family that much more enjoyable and user friendly {simply comment back to us that you created an account, it’s FREE of course}!  Contest ends in one week, good luck to all!  FREE SHIPPING by the way on two or more ScareMeNots!

    They are all very scary in a not so scary way. I would pick fearless Fred because he looks brave and can help my boys not be too afraid.
