We wanted to introduce you all today to the newest family member in the American Girl collection with hope that Rebecca will start the Hanukkah celebrations early this year!

Okay, let’s meet Rebeeca.  The newest Historical Character in the American Girl collection, and she’s a beauty! As a girl growing up in New York City in 1914, Rebecca celebrates treasured traditions passed down through her Russian-Jewish family. A brilliant tag-line to inspire little girls.  What do parents love most about American Girl?  For me, even as a mother of boys, it’s a joy seeing appropriateness in the clothing and accessories, and the dolls themselves.  As I shop for my niece and my little girl cousins and friends, it’s scary seeing what Barbie and the BRATS dolls look like now a days!  American Girl is quite modern, yet quite wholesome and sophisticated, but still totally age appropriate.  Even as an adult, I’m envious of little girls and their American Girl dolls!  I could still sit and play with them for hours!!  And the accessories, holy smokes!  Furniture too!  After looking through the newest catalog {which took me, a 31 year old woman, hours too look through…hours of girlie enjoyment} I was prepared to give my niece the best Christmas of her life!
