The best thing about living in the South {vs. Central NY where we grew up}:  the ability for my boys to play outside year round!  Besides the occasional rainy day or very short length of really cold weather in maybe January, NC weather is fabulous and even in the dead of Winter, my boys are bundled up and playing like crazy in the yard!  Boys or girls, active play in the fresh air = happiness and health!  And it’s always nice to give them additional options for their outdoor play, and we have the coolest new “sport” to show you today, be the one of first to wrap this up and put it under the tree!

I’m sure you saw djubi in our Ultimate Holiday Shopping Guide, now see it up close and personal!  My oldest who is almost 8 is an expert already after only a few short weeks.  Even my 3 year old got the hang of it very quickly.  djubi, in my opinion, is a combination of lacrosse, badminton, and a boomerang, it’s a simple game of catch with a specially designed rackets and a unique ball called the djubi.  This “simple game of catch” is taken to a whole new level though…instead of simply throwing a ball or tossing with a lacrosse stick, launch the djubi up to 100 feet and trust me, the rackets are much better at catching than your hands!  My boys test themselves on how far they can launch the djubi to each other, it’s always a competition with those two.  The djubi is a soft ball by the way, no worries about your windows…as with the baseballs that have come so close to smashing my windows on a daily basis, so safety is not a concern.

Make djubi your official get-together sport; ditch boring old volleyball, or horseshoes, or football and try something new and exciting!
