When pre-school begins so do all of its demands like labeling everything, bring in extra tissues, wipes, hand sanitizer. You are asked to sign up to make play dough, sign up to bring in snacks and treats for holidays, sign up for the PTA, sign any free time away! But we of course gladly do these things and eagerly sign up, labeling every little thing like silverware! The newest tasks to add to my list, make sure your 3 year old can open any lunch packing items themselves and everything is of course labeled.
Well thankfully Crystal, an award winning product designer and mother of three, got tired of using so many plastic bags for sandwiches, fresh fruit, homemade bread, cheese cubes etc. {you can have a couple plastic bags in one lunch box everyday; it’s silly!}; Crystal created the reusable Fresh Snack Pack to replace this waste. The Fresh Snack Pack is light weight, very flexible not stiff at all but very durable. They have a large Velcro easy to open closure so your pre-schooler can handle opening his own lunch items without any help! And they know to not through them away! So you’ve taught your child a little bit about living green! The bags are see-through too so your child knows exactly what’s for lunch. The thoughtful design of the Fresh Snack Pack has incorporated an area you can use as a placemat too! Which is very helpful if you are at a hectic play date with kids everywhere and limited space. It’s also a nice feature for sanitary reasons, setting your fresh fruit on the placemat area rather than the lunch table can save on lots of germs!
The sandwich and snack bags are PVC free, non toxic, phthalate free, and EVA plastic. The bags have an original design embossed on them feature the planet earth. This might raise some fun questions around the lunch table with our little curious kids.
What I like most about using the Fresh Snack Pack is how simple they are to clean. When I get home from picking Nicholas up from pre-school I quickly run hot water around in the pouch of the pack and leave it to dry in the dish strainer. No major time required at all, no scrubbing, no wiping out with a Clorox wipe, nothing but warm water, maybe soap

These would be great for my son’s lunch!! Although we are not brown baggers, (he has a plastic reusable lunchbox) we do use way too many plastic snack bags and cling wrap. The Snack Pack would eliminate a lot of waste!!!

My little one uses reusable containers in his lunch (similar to tupperware ones), however the lids can be tough to open. So these would work wonders in reducing the amount of food that goes flying as he struggles with a lid!

I’ve been wanting to do something to eliminate plastic baggies. I’ve been trying to cut down, but these would help get rid of them all together. Also, should save some money from having to buy disposables!
