Sensory Edge {Giveaway}

When you visit the Sensory Edge website not only is the variety of products they offer amazing but so is the story behind the store. Sensory Edge was created by two parents of a special needs child who’s goal was to provide a good selection of products for kids of all abilities. When their child began attending therapy they noticed that “mainstream” toys were being used in the sessions instead of the more expensive “specialized” toys they had been using at home. By providing the toys used in therapy, only with a detailed description of how each item could benefit kids in a variety of ways, they have grown from offering 100 products to now over 3,000.

Sensory Edge sent me the Melissa and Doug “First Play Picnic” set to enjoy with my children. I thought this item would be something my daughter would love since she is just starting to “play kitchen.” I was surprised to find that my son enjoyed it as well even with the absence of anything loud or automated. This is one of the few toys that both of my kids enjoy and play with together. You have to love the simplicity of such a great product that appeals to such a broad age range. {Isn’t it adorable?}

Another group of products that Sensory Edge has in their inventory that I LOVE are their exercise equipment specially designed for kids. These at home gyms would be a healthy way to counter act all of the video games that will be under the tree this year for Christmas. They would also be wonderful for helping with the energy that kids with “winter cabin fever” have stored up on days too cold and blustery to go outside.

For more information or to view all of the other great products offered on Sensory Edge visit their website at www.sensoryedge.com All Babyluxe readers who visit the site and post what they like the best about Sensory Edge will be entered to win their very own Melissa and Doug Picnic Basket. The contest will run for a week, good luck!

    The great selection was a huge appeal, but combined with affordability, it is fantastic. Hey, Mama needs to pay the heating bill. The nesting cubes and soft books are great, too.
